Toyo Soda Manufacturing Co., Ltd. (now Tosoh Corporation) 25%, Mitsui & Co., Ltd. 25%, Hakusui Chemical Industries, Ltd. (now Hakusui Tech Co., Ltd.) 25%, Onoda Cement Co.,Ltd. (now Taiheiyo Cement Corporation) 25%


: Started production and sales of precipitated silica under the Nipsil tradename

: Increased capital to 100 million yen

March: Established Tosoh Namhae Silica Co.,Ltd., a joint-venture company, in Yeosu, Republic of Korea.
